Civil War

Overview: A twist on a beer pong type game, great for 3v3 or 4v4 games. Each player has 3 cups that act as lives, and teams shoot rapid fire to hit the other team's cups.

No. of Players: 4, 6, or 8

Supplies:

  • 12, 18, or 24 solo cups (3 per player)

  • 2, 3, or 4 ping pong balls (same as team size)

  • A table (or group of tables) to fit team members side by side

Setup:

  • Teams set up lengthwise across a table or tables, and the game can be played 2v2, 3v3, or 4v4.

  • Each player has a triangle set of 3 cups directly in front of them.

  • 1 extra cup in the middle of each side as each team's water cup and safe zone.

  • Total ping pong balls on the table equals the total number of people on a single team (if playing 2v2, 2 ping pong balls, 3v3 has 3 ping pong balls). Ping pong balls start spread out evenly among the teams, unless playing 3v3, in which case the current winning team starts with 2, new team or losing team starts with 1.

How to Play:

  1. This is a rapid fire, non-stop game. Once you have a ball, you area able to shoot it at any player's cup on the other team.

  2. Your 3 cups are your 3 lives. Once you are out of cups you are not allowed to shoot.

  3. Once your team makes all the opposing team's cups, you win!

Rules:

  1. You may never hold more than 1 item at any given time.

    1. If someone makes your cup, you must remove the ball and place it in the water cup on your side or give it to a teammate, and drink your drink before you may shoot again.

    2. You cannot hold 2 balls at a time. You must give one to a teammate or place it in your side's water cup before holding another ball.

    3. The exception to this rule is once you are out. Once all of your cups have been made, you may play defense and hold as many balls as you want for your team, and run to grab balls from the other team's side of the table.

  2. The water cup on your side is a safe zone. The other team may not take any balls from your water cup.

  3. There are no boundaries. At any point in the game, you may get a ball from any side of the table.

  4. There is no order. You do not have to target the opponent directly across from you. At any time you can shoot for any cup on the opposing team's side.

  5. You only need 1 remaining player to win. You win and lose fully as a team.
